The University Library is proud to announce the recent installation of an automatic door at the main entrance/ exit, underscoring our unwavering commitment to creating an inclusive and barrier-free environment for the CUHK community. This significant addition reflects our dedication to ensuring equal access to information and resources for all individuals.
With meticulous attention to detail, we have adjusted the range of the door sensor and the speed of the door movement. These adjustments were made to specifically accommodate wheelchair users, following valuable guidance from the Estate Management Office (EMO) and insights from the vendor, who drew upon their expertise from similar installations both on our campus and elsewhere.
